CARSOME Flames Unity with Firelighters Program to Champion Workplace Values.
Petaling Jaya, 12 November 2024 – At CARSOME, we believe that a strong culture is not just a driver of success but also a reflection of our values. To strengthen this foundation, CARSOME recently launched its Firelighters Program, an initiative designed to empower employees across all departments to champion a workplace rooted in respect, inclusivity, and teamwork, all guided by CARSOME’s core values.
The Firelighters are handpicked representatives from each department who serve as vital liaisons between their teams and the People and Culture department. Their mission is to foster continuous open dialogue, align teams with CARSOME’s values, and create a cohesive environment where every employee thrives on teamwork, mutual respect, and a sense of belonging.
CARSOME’s Co-founder and Culture Coach, Teoh Jiun Ee, shared his perspective on building a purpose-driven culture. "At CARSOME, culture is the backbone of everything we do. The Firelighters Program is more than a platform to champion our values—it’s an opportunity for participants to grow into leaders who inspire and connect others. It is a platform to spark collaboration, build connections, and make CARSOME a better place for everyone. By investing in our people, we are not only building a stronger culture but also empowering a community where every individual feels respected, valued, and equipped to drive change, ” said Teoh.
Additionally, Firelighters will gain hands-on experience in leadership, learn how to understand and improve employee engagement, and develop skills to inspire and connect with their peers, making this a dual focus on personal growth and cultural alignment.
The Firelighters play an essential role in strengthening CARSOME workplace culture. As liaisons within their departments, Firelighters ensure that ideas and feedback flow openly between employees and leadership. Through their dedication, Firelighters are helping to shape an environment where employees know their voices are heard and valued.
